Balsa is part of the desired area of the parish,  which belonged to the enigmatic monastry of S. Pedro Das Aguias, and which should be part of the 24 family tax.

It is the place where we find Chapel, built at the turn to the sixteenth century.

In the mid-twentieth century, the pulpit of the nave was replaced by an altar, San Ildefonso, this was his last expression of exaltation of the temple, which no longer returned to be processed. Altogether, he evokes the days when Balsa was the parish council and enjoyed a brief moment of peak population and administration.
